At twenty-six, Katie McGregor has hit rock bottom. She's done reckless things a good girl like her never thought she'd do. Like hiring a private investigator to spy on her sleazy boyfriend, walking out on her job without notice, and driving all night back to the one man who'd never left her thoughts.

Jake Johnson. The boy next door. The one whose glance always made her pulse race, whose touch made her knees weak -- and whose words broke her heart. Three years ago, both reeling from the death of her brother and Jake's best friend, they'd moved apart and retreated into their careers. Now, Jake has it all, and Katie has... nothing but memories. Katie is thrilled when Jake welcomes her into his home with open arms and the same sexy smile. But is he the same jock who didn't do relationships and treated her like a little sister? And with so much between them, how can they overcome the hurts from the past to ignite a love that perhaps has smoldered all along?

My Review

Jake Johnson was always the boy that could make Katie's heart go pitter patter and butterflies take flight in her stomach, but after the death of Katie's brother and Jake's best friend, Katie and Jake go there separate ways. Years later Katie heads home to mend her broken heart and Jake welcomes her warmly with arms wide open.

As Katie begins to get over the heartache, she realizes her heart still beats for Jake as it always has, but she doesn't want to be in the position for Jake to break his heart like he did before. Is Jake the same man who couldn't do relationships before or has he realized what Katie means to him in the time she was gone?

I enjoyed Sullivan's Home to You so much. This book is an incredibly sweet romance with some drama, not much, but enough to keep readers in suspense. The romance between Jake and Kate is sweet, but passionate and the chemistry between the two of them is present from the very beginning. I liked watching Katie make friends, heal, and fall in love with a man who deserved her unlike her creep of an ex.

Sullivan's characters were well written and the book has a great plot. I thoroughly enjoyed Home to You from beginning to end and wanted more of Katie and Jake. Home to You is a great book to curl up with when you want to relax and the romance between Katie and Jake will leave you swooning.
