Hank can have any woman in town—except his little sister’s best friend. The more he chases, the faster she runs, but when someone starts threatening her, he’s determined to be the one man she turns to for help. Together they risk their lives unraveling a decades-old mystery while Beth fights to keep her heart and her own secrets…

The Layton series was first published in 2011 and 2012 and has been revised.

MY REVIEW
Dangerous Flirt is book two in this captivating series. This book focuses on Hank Layton and Beth Martinez. Both characters made cameo appearances in the first book as Hank is Claire's brother and Beth is her best friend.

Both Beth and Hank have had an attraction to each other for years, but neither acted on it because of Beth's friendship with Claire. Instead they didn't really talk to one another besides events, etc. until one night Hank strikes up a conversation with Beth in a diner.

As Beth receives threats over the sale of her grandparents home, the last remaining connection she has of them, and the threats turn more violent, Beth has no choice but to turn to Hank, the town sheriff, for help.

With so many twists and turns you never know what will happen next, but one thing is for sure; Beth and Hank can no longer fight the growing attraction between them.

Even better than the first book, Dangerous Flirt is sexy and suspenseful with the perfect blend of romance, lust, angst and of course suspense. The built up chemistry between Beth and Hank makes this pairing all the harder when it finally combusts.

★★★★★

About Avery Flynn:

Avery Flynn has three slightly-wild children, loves a hockey-addicted husband and is desperately hoping someone invents the coffee IV drip.
She fell in love with romance while reading Johanna Lindsey’s Mallory books. It wasn’t long before Avery had read through all the romance offerings at her local library. Needing a romance fix, she turned to Harlequin’s four books a month home delivery service to ease the withdrawal symptoms. That worked for a short time, but it wasn’t long before the local book stores’ staffs knew her by name.
Avery was a reader before she was a writer and hopes to always be both. She loves to write about smartass alpha heroes who are as good with a quip as they are with their *ahem* other God-given talents. Her heroines are feisty, fierce and fantastic. Brainy and brave, these ladies know how to stand on their own two feet and knock the bad guys off theirs.
