~ MY REVIEW ~
Sophomore year and things are heating up in Chastity Falls.

Just a few months after their breakup, Ana and Jackson are still longing for one another, yet knowing they cannot be together. Ana is trying her hardest to keep herself together after losing Jackson, yet another person she loved. While seperated, Ana begins throwing herself into figuring out the secrets the Donohues keeps, but along the way discovers something that could tear Jackson's life apart.

Jackson watches Ana from the shadows as he makes sure she is safe and taken care of from afar as he is still convinced that staying away from Ana is the key to her safety. When it looks like danger is still out to get her, Jackson has to choose between family loyalty or Ana, the love of his life. One thing is for sure though - Jackson must protect Ana no matter the cost.

Will Jackson be able to walk away from
the Donohues and will they let him walk away unscathed?

Salvation and Secrets once again keeps readers on an emotional roller coaster. L.A. Cotton has managed to portray all the emotions of Ana and Jackson so perfectly that you can feel each emotion that the characters feel. From heart break, to fear, to love.. this book has it all. In Salvation and Secrets readers get a better idea of the Donohues and how dangerous they are which kept me on the edge of my seat hoping that Ana and Jackson would make it out of the situation okay and be freed from the influence of the Donohues.

The twists and turns, just like in the first book, are absolutely wonderful and as you read you never know what to expect to happen next. The secondary characters from the first book are once again featured in Salvation and Secrets and I was glad to see the interactions between Elena and Ana. Elena is a fiery Latina who had taken Ana under her wing. I would love to read her story someday.

Full of angst and tension, Secrets and Salvation showcases how truly talented of a writer L.A. Cotton is. The Chastity Falls books are some of the best I have EVER read and I love both Ana and Jackson so much. Their story has drawn me in and has left me with a book hangover from both books. I have rooted for this couple from the very beginning and know that they deserve a happily ever after with everything they have been through - seperately and together. I cannot wait for Tribulation and Truth.

~ MY REVIEW ~

Savannah "Ana" Parry is a lost girl searching for a way to live without those who meant the most to her. Broken and scarred, Ana tries to blend in with the crowd and go through the daily motions of life. When she meets Jackson she feels an instant connection when looking in his green eyes and it scares her. Slowly, Jackson begins to break
down Ana's walls, but is Jackson really all that he seems?

Jackson is bound by loyalty to Braiden Donahue. Like brothers, Jackson is the calm to Braiden's raging wildfire. Knowing he should stay away from Ana, he tries to push her away, but something keeps drawing him back to her.

When tensions begin to rise and danger is closer than it seems, will these two lovers be able to make their relationship work or will their hearts be broken?

Loyalty and Lies is reminiscent of West Side Story and Romeo and Juliet and is the perfect blend of these two classics. On one hand, Ana and Jackson should stay away from one another and yet find themselves inexplicably connected.  On another, Jackson is dangerous. Not Jackson himself necessarily, but those he is associated with.

From the very first page I was completely immersed into the world of Charity Falls and the lives of Ana and Jackson. Ana is the very definition of strength. She is a survivor. Having been through some of the worst things imaginable, Ana has survived and is finally starting to move on with her life. Jackson allows her to free herself and begin to live for herself instead of everyone around her. I found Ana's character incredibly remarkable and can say she is one of my top five favorite female leads. Jackson's character was also well thought out and defined. Sometimes he had this whole mysterious Jekyll & Hyde thing going on but once the pieces connected, I realized why exactly that was. From the beginning it was pretty obvious who exactly Jackson was and yet when it came out a part of me had a hard time reconciling both sides of his character. Jackson is complex and yet there's something so wonderful about his character that makes you fall in love with him.

I found the plot suspenseful, angsty, romantic and swoon worthy. L.A. Cotton kept me on an emotional roller coaster and had me cheering for this pair to make it through every obstacle sat in their way.

I read this book in one sitting and immediately opened to the next book with a burning need to know what happened after the cliffhanger Cotton leaves readers with.

Loyalty and Lies is well written, suspenseful, and gripping and I loved every moment of it.
