Release Day Blitz: A SEAL's Pleasure by Tawny Weber

Synopsis:

Subject: Navy SEAL Gabriel Thorne

Mission: Initiate Operation: Romance…and prove that one night isn't enough!

Explosives expert and Navy SEAL Gabriel "Romeo" Thorne makes his living tempting fate. Pushing the limits. So far, he's never lost—especially when it comes to women. That is, until his best friend's wedding, where Gabriel is suddenly face-to-face—and deliciously body-to-body—with the one woman hot enough to detonate his self-control.

Tessa Monroe is used to being in control with men. Gabriel, on the other hand, is pretty much her sex kryptonite. Hard, gorgeous, dark-eyed kryptonite. Even as her defenses whisper "danger," lust demands she take her pleasure with him and then run. Now they're skirting the edge of an explosive attraction…where one wrong move could mean disaster.

Review:

Gabriel Thorne, otherwise known as Romeo, is a Navy SEAL. At his best friend's wedding (If you have yet to read A SEAL's secret, the book is Mitch's story), Gabriel runs into Tessa Monroe - the one woman who has shot him down cold.

Tessa Monroe, a woman used to being in control, gets a shock six months prior to her best friend, Livi's wedding, when she runs into Gabriel on Halloween night and finds herself instantly and wildly attracted to him. Letting Gabriel get the best of her, Tessa runs off scared and puts on a cold front whenever Gabriel is near.

Gabriel and Tessa are so similar to one another and I think they pair pretty great together. In the beginning neither of them believe in happily ever after. Gabriel, a firm disbeliever in marriage due to the fact he is in the military, enjoys seeing his friend Mitch happy with Livi, but doesn't see himself living that kind of life. Whereas Tessa doesn't believe in marriage or happily ever after especially when it involves someone in the military. From the beginning you can tell she has her hang-ups about military men.

Even with their similar take on romance and marriage both Gabriel and Tessa has undeniable, explosive chemistry and a connection from the start. Every time they are together, you can feel the electric charge between them. I swear I saw sparks flying from my Kindle when those two were in a room together!

Weber takes a pinch of humor, a heap of romance, a sprinkle of handsome jaw dropping SEALS, and a dash of strength in order to create the perfect blend for A SEAL's Pleasure.

Tawny Weber is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to writing the perfect military romance. Great plots, amazing characters including a cast of HOT SEALS, and sexual tension and passion that steams up the pages, Weber is a master at giving women strong, military men we love to love and romance we love to swoon over.

Needless to say, I am a huge fan of Tawny's and of A SEAL's Pleasure. If you haven't read her books before, I recommend you do. Tawny, an extremely talented author, will leave you wanting more from these fellows!

With that being said, I absolutely loved A SEAL's Pleasure and think that it definitely earns itself more than 5 stars.

Fun fact: I was in a reading slump a while back. As an avid reader, I sometimes find myself in these slumps since I usually read about 30 or so books a month. After awhile sometimes books begin to blend together for me and begin to sound the same and I end up in a slump. One day I found myself in an event celebrating something, perhaps a new release, and one of the authors who has a time slot was Tawny Weber. Up until this point I had never read military books. I dated a Marine, but never read military books. Anyway, she had a free book promotion going on so I went to Amazon and one-clicked and let me tell you I am beyond glad I did. Between Tawny Weber and Sharon Hamilton, I am officially addicted to and obsessed with military romance. How have I gone so long without reading this genre? Now I cannot get enough. Goodness gracious, I need to find a SEAL of my own to live out my fantasies!
