Synopsis: Don’t let my petite and innocent appearance fool you, because I’m one person you don’t want to cross. I’m Micah, the youngest member of Resurrection…If only they knew how young. My fake ID says I’m twenty-one.

And I will be…in four years.

What can I say? I blossomed early. Home sucked, so I left, determined to do something with my life.

Landing the gig as lead vocalist in the band was a dream come true. I’ve worked hard to make something of myself and nothing is going to ruin that for me.

Then He showed up.

He’s hot as hell and so into me. But he’s also twenty-five.

I don’t want to lie to him, but if the truth comes out I’ll lose everything, including him.

My Review: At fourteen Mikayla ran away from home, never to turn back. After so many years of a neglectful mom and her brother's death, she needed a new start for herself. Becoming Micah, she heads out on her own.

Micah's biggest love is singing and scoring a gig with one of the most popular indie bands is a dream come true. Then she meets Saxon Waite - the rock god whose posters used to grace her walls.

Saxon has been through the wringer with his career and personal life. Now managing his cousin's band, he starts to get back on his feet. When he meets the band's new lead singer he tells himself he should stay away, but the more he tries to deny himself, the more he wants Micah.

When he finds out the truth that Micah has tried to hide for so long will he able able to forgive her or will the betrayal be to hard to bear?

Wicked Innocence is a story of becoming who you want to be, second chances and moving on.

This incredible book and the writing on the pages showcases what a talent Missy Johnson is. From first page to last, you are brought into the character's world an made a part of the scene.

Both Saxon and Micah are so much a like - with dreams and ambitions, their strength and resolve and their will to move on from the past. They have both made mistakes and overcame obstacles only to come out stronger in the end.

Saxon is a good guy who has his head on his shoulders. He may have screwed up in the past and paid for those mistakes but he is trying to move forward and be better. Micah blamed herself for the death of her brother for so long and went of to make a new life for herself, a life where her brother would be proud of her. Her love for him keeps her going. Both characters are amazingly written to the point where you think they are actual people and not just characters in a book. They jump off the pages and come to life.

The plot was incredible. I have only read a few rockstar romances, but I have thoroughly enjoyed them, and Wicked Innocence is the best yet. The age difference and it being a secret really gives this book the extra 'umph'. It leaves you wondering how it will come out.. will he find out from someone or will she tell him? Will he be able to forgive her? Can they make a life together when she is eight years younger than him? All these questions make the book that much more appealing because it keeps you on the edge of your seat with each turn of the page.

I can't wait to read more from Missy Johnson! I really hope we see Saxon & Micah again! Five stars from Bottles & Books Reviews!!

About Missy Johnson
Missy lives in a small town in Central Victoria with her husband, and her confused pets (a dog who think she’s a cat, a cat who thinks he’s a dog…you get the picture).
When she’s not writing, she can usually be found looking for something to read.
