Synopsis: When Jill met Jay Greenfield she knew she had found her forever love. She was a kindergarten teacher, he was a high-powered attorney and their lives were perfect. But when a tragic accident takes Jay’s life, this young bride is left to pick up the pieces.

Jill finds herself a young widow facing multiple decisions she thought she had a lifetime to decide. With support from her childhood best friends, Lanie and Stella, Jill attempts to piece her life back together. With nightmares plaguing her dreams and the struggles of constant grief over Jay’s passing, Stella and Lanie keep near constant vigilance over her.

In the process of settling the estate, Jill learns that her husband was not quite the man she thought he was. She finds herself transported to the small beach town of Oak Island, North Carolina. But the fairy tale ending she envisioned no longer exists. She must face the reality that Jay is gone as she finds herself having a chance at love one more time.

Safe and Sound follows a yearlong journey of love, loss, friendship, and conquering the unexpected.

My Review: Jill wakes up one morning married and by that afternoon she is a young widow trying to put back the pieces of her life and find her way again.

With the help of her fantastic and supportive friends, she starts to heal and find out more about herself along with the person she wants to be.

When she meets Ross she realizes life is full of second chances and sometimes second loves.

Safe & Sound is a story of love, loss, friendship, healing and second chances.

I loved the story line of Safe & Sound, the friendships, the healing, and second chances. The book was a beautiful tale that made you cry, laugh, and fall in love with the characters who were so real, you feel as if you have known each one all of your life.  Jill's grief was so very real and you could tell how much she truly loved her husband and how much she mourned for him. Her process of moving on was hard, but something she needed to do for herself. She will always love Jay, but she is also too young to cut herself off from life. She needs to live for herself and for Jay.

I fell in love with everything about Safe & Sound from the characters to the setting along with the writing style and plot.

Safe & Sound is a story that makes you want to embrace life because you never know what will happen tomorrow. TS Krupa has spun a poignant tale that will remain with you long after you've turned the last page.

*Safe & Sound was received from the author in exchange for an honest review.
